Athlete Bio: In 2006, Jorge was the national champion at the AT&T USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 10,000m with a time of 28:14. At the 2006 National Cross Country Championships, in a weekend event double he placed 2nd in the 12k and 4th in the 4k earning him two spots on the World Championship team. He placed 27th, representing Team USA in the 4k, at the World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. In another international competition, he was first at the Chiba Cross Country Meeting, Chiba, Japan 4K. Jorge was an NCAA Cross Country Champion in Cross County while at the University of Colorado, as well as a Footlocker National High School Cross Country Champion.
