Athlete Bio: At the 2006 Oregon Invitational Track Meet, Jason raced to a 5000m personal best, 13:36. In 2006, he also ran a 28:35 in the 10,000m at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational. On the roads, at the Healthy Kidney 10K, held in Central Park, Jason finished sixth place, second American against a strong international field with a time of 29:05. In 2006, he was also a member of Team U.S.A. for the World Cross Country Championships. He earned 2nd place in the 2006 U.S. Half Marathon Championships in January with a time of 1:03:07. At the 2006 LaSalle Bank Chicago marathon he debuted in a time of 2:15:50 securing the A standard in qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials to be held in the fall of 2007 in New York City. In 2005 he placed 20th at the IAAF World Half-Marathon Championships. Jason is also an alumnus of the University of Oregon where he was an All-American in Cross Country and Track. In 2003, he ran 28:31 at the 10K for a fourth place finish at the NCAA Track and Field Championships. In 2000, as a junior competitor, he represented the U.S. at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. In high school, he was fourth place in the Footlocker National Championships for Cross Country.
